Hello all,

Well there have been some updates, some bug fixes, and some more structuring done to the site. I would really like to get the clan / guild section done soon. After having an active guild on the site, I've found some user-ability issues with the setup, and have fixed some of these already. For instance, when you click Join Clan, it was just taking you back to the main page of the clan, leaving you to think, "What just happened? Am I a member? I still can't access the forums!" Now, however, it will tell you that your application for membership has been submitted and must first be approved. So now people know to wait. However, I still need to make a system to let members know when their application has been accepted or denied. And there are other small things like that. So I'm not there yet, but I also need feedback to know what all still needs worked on. After all, I know how my system works and will therefore use it correctly. Its people who do not know how to use it correctly that will let me know what is broken. So if you can't find something, or you get an odd error, please let me know.

Another thing to mention is a site update. Not necessarily something the users will notice, but a lot of back-end coding will be taking place in order for us to get a good site ranking with Google. Right now, if you search some common key words for testing games, we show up no where near the first results page. To fix this, I will be implementing a lot of SEO tactics into the website so we rank better for the common key words. Also, I will tighten up how the code and data is handled, ensuring that the site runs faster and produces cleaner data (not returning any data that is not used). Doing this will also make site updates much easier to implement later on as well when we come out with new features.

Lastly, we will be coming out with a widget of our own. I'm not entirely sure what it will say, or what data it will display, yet. Possibly, we will have multiple widgets that you can choose from. Perhaps, one widget option would be to have the ability to create custom signatures for your clan / guild to show your user information. So you could choose a background image for your clan's game, enter your clan's name, maybe pick a text color, and it could create a signature that says, "I am a member of [Clan]." Or, "I'm a [Rank] in [Clan]." (A ranking system will be added to the clan section later.) But like I said, I'm not entirely sure what the widgets will be yet. If you have any suggestions, or know something you would like to see, just let me know. It wouldn't hurt to look into it.
